About Your Doula

Hey there! My name is Katie Jo Hardy, and I am a certified breastfeeding specialist, birth and postpartum doula, and educator with a passion for supporting families during one of the most transformative moments of their lives: the birth of their child. I believe that birth is a deeply personal and sacred experience, and I am here to provide physical, emotional, and informational support to ensure that you feel confident, empowered, and cared for every step of the way.

The experiences I had with my first child sparked a passion and deep calling within me to help families navigate their unique journeys with strength, love, and support.

I have had unmedicated, natural birth experiences in both a hospital and at home, which allows me to not only have expertise, but personal experience in both settings.

As a doula, my goal is to create a calm and nurturing environment where you feel fully supported and heard. I work alongside you. your partner, healthcare team, and anyone else involved to provide continuous care tailored to your needs. I offer a variety of ways to help manage pain, bring comfort, and keep labor moving. I also provide guidance with birth plans, labor preparation, childbirth education, breastfeeding education, postpartum care, and breastfeeding support.

Whether you are planning a hospital birth, home birth, or birthing center experience, my role is to ensure that you have the tools and support to feel confident in your decisions and supported in every moment of your journey.

I am deeply honored to be a part of your birth and/or breastfeeding experience and to help you feel empowered and informed as you bring your new little one into the world. If you’re interested in learning more or connecting with me, I would love to chat and see how I can best support you!

I am a Christian, wife, and mom of two independent and amazing children.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

-Psalm 139:14
